Even though past shortcomings hang over the Washington men’s basketball team like an ominous storm cloud, there’s no extra sense of urgency to snap the Huskies’ four-year NCAA tournament drought.
The goal is the same this season like it is every season, coach Lorenzo Romar said Thursday at UW media day — just two days before the start of fall practice.
“Every year you want to get to the tournament,” he said. “There’s never been a year where I felt, ‘well if we don’t make it this year, it’s OK.’ Every year you want to do that because if you get in that tournament, you got a chance.
