On Saturday, the Huskies used a 21 point second quarter and a balanced offense to pull away from Eastern Michigan in a 30-9 victory. There’s plenty to go over, so let’s dive right in!
Slow Going
After last week’s slow start against Weber State, I wrote that I was confident that the Huskies would eventually find their groove against EMU. That did not happen, as I spent the majority of the first quarter silently worrying at the lack of early offensive fireworks. That, coupled with missteps on the defensive side of the ball, had me dreading an upset by the end of the first quarter, at which point EMU led 3-0.
