It’s a slow news day for the Huskies, but many Power 5 teams are preparing for their season opener, so there’s plenty of general college football news.
- As much as I like to pillory ESPN for their non-charitable UW coverage, I enjoyed Ryan McGee’s discussion of the constancy of college football fandom. McGee is right that the games won’t be exactly the same without fans in the stands, but having games at all is a profound silver lining.
- We’re seeing it in other sports, and college football will be no exception: depth is at a premium in 2020.
