The Washington Huskies came in third place in the Women’s Championship World Series. Well, there’s not really a “third place”, but the Huskies suffered their only losses of the series to the number one and two teams in the Women’s Championship World Series tournament: Oklahoma and Florida.
The Washington Huskies lost to the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday June 2 by the score of 3-1. That loss sent the Huskies into the elimination round where the team faced off against the UCLA Bruins.
Once more, the Huskies advanced beyond the June 3 contest on great pitching and defense, blanking UCLA 1-0 to advance.
