UW lost convincingly to Iowa Wednesday night at home 85-61. Iowa came into the game on a 5 game losing streak, and they were ready to draw blood. UW came off a win vs. Purdue and Kelsey Plum’s jersey retirement. Hannah Skulke, one of the key players in Iowa’s NCAA championship last year, was out with an injury. Iowa’s forward, O’Grady, caused some early problems for UW, posting up and getting points early in the paint. Iowa went on a 9-0 run and UW was scoreless for 3 minutes until Dalayah Daniels made 1 of 2 free throws. After that, they went scoreless for another 2 minutes until Tayra Eke ended the drought.
