WBB Comes up Short Against Columbia

UW made it back to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 8 years and met Columbia for a play in game as an 11 seed. UW lost 63 to 60.

UW came out to a strong start, surprising Columbia with early offense. For the first 8 minutes of the game, UW didn’t even set up a play because they were able to beat Columbia off the dribble. UW was the taller team, so they used the mismatch to pound the paint on an 11-0 run. They didn’t even need the three like they usually do. Columbia, who shoots a lot of threes per game had zero threes in the 1st quarter, as UW won it 21-10.
