LAKEWOOD – The Washington women’s golf team easily defended its title at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational and Husky freshman Julianne Alvarez won the individual title Tuesday at Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
The Huskies shot 1-over 865, 31 strokes ahead of runner-up Idaho.
Alvarez shot 5-under 211, five shots ahead of teammate Sarah Rhee. UW’s Ying Luo was fourth (4-over 220). Gonzaga was third at 37-over 901 and host Seattle U was fifth (+51, 915).
