Washington Huskies sophomore tight end David Ajamu suffered a knee injury during warmups yesterday and will be out for the rest of the season. Coach Chris Petersen made the announcement, which was reported by Adam Jude of the Seattle Times.
A former three-star recruit out of Washington’s Shelton High School, about 82 miles southwest of Seattle, Ajamu has been used primarily as a blocker in the Huskies’ multiple-tight end sets. Despite his lack of contributions in the receiving game, Ajamu had been praised heavily by coaches for his progress.
Petersen offered a brief statement on Ajamu’s injury.
