Washington Huskies senior golfer Cheng-Tsung Pan used a final-round 67 to finish just one shot back in the NCAA Individual Championships at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida, on Monday.
One of the most decorated golfers in UW history, Pan entered his lightening-delayed final round at 2-under. But after starting his round with two-straight bogeys, Pan went 7-under in his final 16 holes to finish just one stroke off of SMU’s Bryson Dechambeau at 8-under.
The Taiwan native tallied seven birdies on the day and came within millimeters of forcing a playoff when he nearly chipped in from a greenside bunker on the 18th hole.
