The University of Washington volleyball team, ranked No. 2 in the nation, won its 10th straight match Wednesday, beating Utah in Salt Lake City in three sets.
The Huskies (27-2, 17-2 Pac-12) kept the pressure on No. 1 USC, which holds a narrow lead over UW in the Pac-12 race. Washington’s win assured it will finish no worse than second in the conference.
UW was led by the 10 kills of Tia Scambray and seven blocks from Lianna Sybeldon. Scambray hit .280 with two aces, six digs, and four blocks. Sybeldon had seven kills, hitting .417.
