Excitement Rating: 7/10. Even before the season, I had this game circled on the schedule as one of the “fulcrum” games that could make a big difference in whether the Dawgs had a successful or disappointing season. Sure, the perception of some opponents has changed- Indiana looks better and UCLA looks worse-, and the Apple Cup loss takes a winnable game off the board, but games like Rutgers and Iowa still loom large as turning points for the team.
