As announced two years ago, UW and Gonzaga will face off in a home-and-home series starting with a game at McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane December 7, 2016. Originally the contract was for a four-year commitment, but as of now games are only officially scheduled for 2016 at Gonzaga and 2017 at Alaska Airlines Arena.
No doubt a featured story line of the match up will be Gonzaga’s addition of former Husky guard Nigel Williams-Goss. The second-team All-Pac-12 point guard transferred from UW following the 2014-15 season and the junior will be eligible to play for the Bulldogs this season after red shirting in 2015-16.
