Mike Neighbors used the analogy to describe the difference between the Huskies’ improbable march to the Final Four last year and their NCAA tournament run that begins Saturday.
“This time last year we sat a press conference with a 0.2 percent chance of going to the Final Four,” said the Washington women’s basketball coach. “Zero-point-two is what that number was.
“And this year (former President Barack) Obama picked us in the Final Four. OK, so that’s the difference. Nobody expected it (to) Obama’s picking us now. And that wraps it up.
