Washington announced this morning that they have hired Derham Cato to fill the role of Tight Ends coach.
Cato has spent the last 4 years as an offensive analyst at Washington so Jimmy Lake chose to promote from within to fill the position. The job of tight ends coach opened when Lake decided not to renew Jordan Paopao’s contract.
Before coming to Seattle, Cato began his coaching career as the tight ends coach at Dartmouth where he played his college football as well. Cato then served as a graduate assistant at Vanderbilt where he overlapped with new Washington offensive coordinator John Donovan.
