Washington and Gonzaga will renew their men’s basketball series Dec. 7 at Spokane’s McCarthey Athletic Center.
Bulldogs will host the first of a two-year home-and-home series, Washington athletics announced Wednesday. No start time has been set. The Huskies will host the second meeting at Alaska Airlines Arena, tentatively in November 2017.
Gonzaga beat the Huskies 80-64 last season in the first round of a tournament in the Bahamas. Previously, the two teams hadn’t played since Dec. 9, 2006 in Spokane. Washington leads the series 29-15 but hasn’t beaten Gonzaga since Dec. 4, 2005.
