Danny Sprinkle said in his postgame press conference following the 85-61 loss to USC that “We’re going to have to get a lot better by (Tuesday) night if we want to get the result we want to get and I fully expect our team to do that.”
On Tuesday night, against the Eastern Washington Eagles, Coach Sprinkle’s Huskies looked a lot better than Saturday’s performance, winning 87-69 and coasting for the last quarter of the second half. Sprinkle, true to his word, changed up his rotation, giving big minutes to Jase Butler (who had 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 24 minutes), and Christian King (who had 9 points, including a breakaway slam, and 4 boards in his most action this season, tallying 27 minutes).
