Washington football opens Pac-12 play against the Golden Bears, who won at home in their opening game of the season as well beating UC Davis 27-13.
The Huskies lead the series against the Golden Bears with a record of 54-40-4. The Huskies were favored over the Golden Bears last year, however, California won 12-10 over the then 15th ranked team in the country. The big story of the game was when Chris Petersen benched quarterback Jake Browning, which led to now Fresno State QB Jake Haener throwing a pick six to linebacker Evan Weaver.
