Washington Football is in a pretty good spot this season. Despite excellent play of the entire team last season, expectations for the team have taken a back seat to the oohing-and-ahing over USC rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. Similarly, Stanford University is getting quite the lovefest in preseason prognostications. So in a season where all the pressure should be on the Washington Football team to repeat, the pressure is off.
And I’m okay with that.
To be a champion in the Pac-12 takes more than spotlights and well-wishing. This is a tough tough football conference and the only way to end atop the pile is to play to the team’s full potential.
