It’s always a good day when Washington football lands another recruit, and it’s an added plus when they beat out Oregon for said prospect. And today in the latest installment of Jimmy Lake is better than Oregon, the Huskies have landed three-star cornerback prospect James Smith out of powerhouse St. John Bosco (Calif.) High.
Smith is a very refined corner prospect who has just about the most boring film (which is about the highest compliment I can give a corner prospect’s film) because opposing quarterbacks are afraid to test him. And not to mention that he’s doing that in the Trinity League, which is one of the toughest high school leagues in the country.
