E.J. Caminong, a local QB out of Garfield High School, originally committed to the University of Washington back in October of 2022 after being offered a scholarship that previous May.

His decision to decommit coincides with the news that the Huskies are expected to host another highly sought-after 2024 quarterback recruit, Demaricus Davis, later in the month, who has also earned an offer from the University of Washington.
While Caminong declined to state his reasons for decommitting, it is speculated that the potential recruitment of Davis may have played a role in his decision.
