UCLA has been a headache for teams on the West Coast lately. Tuesday evening was no exception as the Bruins toppled Washington 69-58 in Los Angeles.
Basketball in the modern era is relatively simple. You have a pretty good squad if you can defend well, make threes and limit turnovers. UCLA, now 7-1, is indeed that.
Washington, now 6-2, hopes to get there.
The Huskies defended well, holding UCLA to 41% from the field, but spotted the Bruins 18 points off 12 total turnovers. In comparison, Washington scored 11 points off of UCLA’s eight turnovers. The glaring difference was three-point shooting.
