In a razor-thin clash with Washington’s rival south of the state line, the Huskies couldn’t overcome No. 15 Oregon. The 82-71 loss dropped the Huskies to 10-9 (1-7 Big Ten).
Washington’s losing streak reached five games with the loss, but it’s worth noting that Oregon was the fifth consecutive bout with a AP Top 25 team. The loss was also one of Washington’s better showings of the five games despite Oregon being the highest-ranked of the bunch.
As talented teams often do well, Oregon finished strong when it needed a run most. The Huskies and Ducks were tied at 62 when Great Osobor hit a jumper inside the arc with 5:49 left.
