PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Kelsey Plum made five 3-pointers and scored 33 points to help Washington beat rival Washington State 79-64 on Tuesday night in a Pac-12 opener.
The Huskies are 34-5 all-time in Pullman, including an 83-43 victory last season.
Washington scored the final five points of the first quarter for an 18-12 lead and Plum scored the Huskies' first nine points of the second quarter. Washington State pulled to 25-21 but Washington went on a 13-3 spurt, with two 3-pointers from Brianna Ruiz, for a 38-24 lead. The Huskies had an 11-point advantage at the break after making 7 of 15 3-pointers and forcing 13 turnovers.
