The Washington Basketball team started off making mistakes, giving up five turnovers in the first four minutes of the game. It allowed the UCLA Bruins to get ahead 12-4. The Huskies bounced back with a 12-2 run due to UCLA’s sloppy equally sloppy play.
The Huskies took the lead at 23-20 on a three point shot by David Crisp, his fourth in the first half with six minutes remaining. The Huskies never trailed the rest of the way. They finished the first half by outscoring the Bruins 11-3 for a lead of 31-23 at the break.
