Washington Basketball team defeats Cal to improve to 3-1 in Pac-12

When the 9-22 Washington Basketball team changed head coaches, the most optimistic of us believed the Washington Huskies might finish at .500. But suddenly, after a solid win against the California Golden Bears 66-56, the Huskies are beginning to feel as though they might overshoot those original projections. After tonight’s win, these Huskies are 13-4 overall, and 3-1 in Pac-12 play. And that is good enough for second place in a conference which includes AP nationally ranked teams Arizona State (11th) and Arizona (17th).

The early conference success is doubly surprising as the team had played three consecutive Pac-12 contests on the road.
