Washington basketball got off to a good start on Saturday, scoring 12 straight points. The Buffaloes didn’t score for the first five minutes of the game. After they scored, they went on a 9-2 run, cutting the Huskies leading to 14-9.
The Huskies were still playing at a high level though, as they went on an 8-2 run to lead 22-11. At the 8:08 mark left in the first half the Huskies were leading 30-18 which included making six 3pt shots.
The Huskies led the Buffaloes at half time 48-35. The only reason the Buffaloes was that close sophomore guard D’Shawn Schwartz had 13 of his 22 points in the first half.
