Washington basketball didn’t miss a beat without star freshman Jaden McDaniels, who suited up but didn’t play due to an ankle injury he suffered in the loss to Cal last Saturday.
Fellow freshman out of local Marysville Pilchuck RaeQuan Battle made his first career start in place of McDaniels, and was excellent. He finished with 11 points, hitting three three-pointers in the first half, and he didn’t play much in the second half due to what appeared to be cramps.
Once again, Isaiah Stewart led the Huskies in scoring with 13 points, and all but two of those points came in the second half.
