In the first half, neither team could manage to grab more than a four-point lead, and Washington basketball kept it close for the majority of the second half, before the usual set in. The Huskies went on a scoring drought, going 1/17 from the field at one point and Stanford was able to pull away and go on a 13-3 run.
This game feels extra disappointing because for a good portion of the game you could tell the Huskies were energized and having fun, with Sam Timmins getting in on the action with a behind the back assist and a few slam dunks to go with it.
