Washington basketball led for most the game, and never fell behind by more than a few points. There were times that the Huskies looked like they should stretch things out, but they never did.
Washington’s defense made the difference in the end, when Stanford couldn’t make a shot with less than ten seconds and the Huskies’ smothering defense didn’t allow a putback.
The Huskies were led by their lead scorer on the year, Jaylen Nowell who had 13 points. Power forward Noah Dickerson was the only other Husky to score in double digits with 12 points.
