Sonny Sixkiller, the Husky quarterback who helped revolutionize the position in the 1970s, will be inducted into the Pac-12 Hall of Honor, the conference announced Monday.
He will be inducted, along with 11 others from around the Pac-12, during a ceremony before to the semifinals of the 2018 Pac-12 men’s basketball tournament on March 9 in Las Vegas.
Sixkiller, born in Tahlequah, Okla., the capital of the Cherokee Nation, was, and remains, one of the most popular figures in program history. He inspired a best-selling record called “The Ballad of Sonny Sixkiller,” a “6 Killer” T-shirt line and a “6 Killer Fan Klub.
