It was KC Ibekwe’s putback that finally put the Huskies in the field goal column. The score was 16-2, with 9:36 to go in the first half when the Huskies finally made a shot that wasn’t a free throw. I’ve said before that the Huskies need to be more consistent, and you’d think that a near second half comeback against #22 Illinois would light a fire under them, and perhaps it did. But any momentum from that game was quickly erased by Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans, and a raucous Breslin Center crowd clad in the green and white.
