UW junior running back Dwayne Washington has been named to the watch list for the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation’s top running back.
Washington, UW’s offensive MVP last season, rushed for 697 yards and nine touchdowns as part of the Huskies’ running-back-by-committee. He missed two games last year with a chest injury.
The soft-spoken Washington burst onto the season for UW in November, finishing the season with three 100-yard rushing performances, his best game coming at Arizona (148 yards and two TDs, including a 66-yarder.
