Before Dante Pettis arrived on campus in 2014, the Huskies had gone 11 years with a punt-return touchdown — the longest drought of any Power Five conference team.
In less than four years, Pettis now has seven such special-teams touchdown.
On Saturday, Pettis returned a punt 67 yards for a TD on the final play of the first quarter, giving the Huskies a 21-7 lead over Montana on Saturday afternoon at Husky Stadium.
It is Pettis’ seventh punt-return TD of his career, breaking a decade-old Pac-12 record held by Cal’s DeSean Jackson.
