The No. 21 Washington women’s soccer team saw its eight-game unbeaten streak come to an end with a 1-0 loss at No. 25 Arizona on Friday in the Huskies’ Pac-12 opener.
“This was a tough loss because I think we are a good enough team to win that game,” UW coach Lesle Gallimore said. “We could’ve been more dynamic, more creative. But really it’s one game and the effort was there.”
Arizona’s Jaden DeGracie broke the scoreless tie in the 52nd minute. The Huskies (7-2-1, 0-1) finished with eight shots and four corners.
