GOLD RIVER, Calif. – Washington women’s rowing saw all three boats advance to A/B semifinals Friday at the 2016 NCAA rowing championships on Lake Natoma.
The Huskies’ second varsity eight and varsity four won their respective heats, given them a direct route into Saturday’s top-level semifinals. The varsity eight finished third in its heat Friday morning, but comfortably won an afternoon repechage to book its place in an A/B semi.
In those semifinal races Saturday morning, the top three (of six) boats in each of two semifinal races in each category will advance to the grand final on Sunday.
