Senior Jennifer Yang shot a 1-over-par 73, leading the Washington women’s golf team to a tie for sixth-place before play was suspended in the NCAA championship at Concession Golf Club in Brandenton, Fla.
Washington was at 13 over and was tied with Tennessee. Northwestern and Alabama were also at 13 over but did not complete their second rounds.
Stanford was in first place at 3 over but was still on the course when play was postponed. Duke was the leader in the clubhouse at 5 over.
“The course is the same for everybody, but it is really hard,” said Wasbington coach Mary Lou Mulflur.
