The overall strength of women’s basketball, some believe, has never been better in the Pac-12 Conference.
The conference finished the regular season with the best RPI in the nation, and four teams — Oregon State, Arizona State, UCLA and Stanford — came into the conference tournament at KeyArena ranked in the top 12 of The Associated Press poll.
Washington, for as well as it played this season, was never quite good enough to be in the same conversation with the Pac-12’s elite. At least, that’s the perception the Huskies heard.
