On Sunday afternoon, the UW Women took their first road trip of the season to Montana and lost 82-68. Montana finished third in the Big Sky conference last year, made it to the WNIT, and started this year’s season 1-2. UW came into the game 4-0 after also going to the WNIT last season and returning most of the key players on the team.
The Lady Griz came out swinging during the first quarter and pressured UW. UW came out slow and at first traded points with the Griz but quickly went all the way cold, especially after Sayvia Sellers picked up two quick fouls and had to sit.
