UW Women’s Basketball came back from a week long break to win against Northwestern 90-71 and notch their first ever Big 10 Conference win. Going into the matchup, Northwestern’s overall record was 7-5 and UW’s was 9-4, both having lost their first Big 10 conference game. Looking at both team’s overall stats, it was a close matchup going into the game, with UW averaging 71.5 points and Northwestern averaging 66.7. UW had a better strength of schedule. This was the first matchup between the two teams in 29 years and only the 3rd match up ever between the schools.
