A student tutor who allegedly stole more than $32,000 over three years from the University of Washington could be charged by King County prosecutors for the theft.
According to a review by the state auditor’s office, the student, who worked in the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity Instructional Center, was able to put the money on his UW-issued Husky Card by processing invalid refunds while he worked at the center between January 2012 and February 2015.
