TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The No. 20 Washington softball team held on for a 4-1 win over South Carolina Upstate in the first game of the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional on Friday.
Senior right-hander Kasey Stanchek (14-7) pitched a gem, allowing two hits in seven innings pitched.
Stanchek pitched 42/3 innings before allowing a hit. She struck out five and walked three in the win.
