The Washington rowing team hosts its first competitive regatta of the spring season Saturday on the Montlake Cut, featuring collegiate racing along with local high-school and club teams.
The Husky Open regatta begins at 8 a.m. with women’s racing, though UW’s varsity women’s eight is out of town at the Oregon State Invitational. The UW men, ranked No. 1 nationally, face No. 6 Brown in head-to-head duals beginning at 9 a.m., with the varsity eight racing at 9:30.
The regatta is scheduled to last until 2:45 p.m., with several breaks. Local junior crews will row in the later races.
