Senior safety Brian Clay was penalized and ejected for the targeting hit in the fourth quarter of UW’s loss to Oregon on Saturday. And because the play happened in the second half, he will have to sit out the first half against Stanford next week.
“It’s disappointing; it hurts us,” UW coach Chris Petersen said. “Brian Clay’s been playing well for us.
