EUGENE, Ore. – To preserve any shot at capturing an NCAA tournament at-large berth, the Washington men’s basketball team on Sunday must do what no team has done in 13 months – beat Oregon at Matthew Knight Arena.
The Ducks have won 24 straight home games. Arizona was the last team to leave town with a win – an 80-62 victory on Jan. 10, 2015.
Oregon is 17-0 at home this season.
It’s a daunting task for the Huskies, who are winless in their past four road games, including Wednesday’s deflating 82-81 loss at Oregon State that sparked a public feud between Lorenzo Romar and the Pac-12.
