Washington backed up a terrific first day with five more podium finishes Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
The UW men’s team wound up with 24 points for sixth place, best in school history, while the women had 16 points and finished 13th for their second-best finish.
Scoring for the women was Diamara Planell Cruz, third in the pole vault, and Kennadi Bouyer in the 60 and Eleanor Fulton in the mile, both of whom finished eighth.
Planell Cruz cleared 14-7¼ to break her school record.
Izaic Yorks was fourth in the 3,000 in 8:02.
