Washington sophomore Jaylen Nowell is the only Pac-12 player chosen to the 20-player preseason watch list for the Jerry West award, an Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame honor that recognizes the nation’s best shooting guard.
Last season Nowell led the Huskies with a team-high 16.0 points while starting 32 of 34 games. He finished with 545 points and ranked third on UW’s freshman record list behind Dejounte Murray (548) and Tony Wroten (559).
