Washington’s Matisse Thybulle has been named to the preseason watch list for the Julius Erving Award watch list that’s
given to the nation’s top small forward by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Thybulle set a school record with 101 steals last season en route to winning the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year award. He also owns the UW career steals record (205).
The four-year veteran, who has started all 99 games during his career, averaged a career-best 11.2 points per game a year while adding 89 assists and 49 blocks last season.
Thybulle is one of 20 players selected to the Julius Erving award preseason watch list.
