UW Huskies’ Kelsey Plum becomes fastest women’s player to 2,000 points in Pac-12 history

Washington junior guard Kelsey Plum entered Sunday afternoon’s road game against California needing just four points to reach 2,000 for her career. After an early basket got her to 1,999 points, she passed the 2,000-point mark in style:

Plum became the fastest women’s player in Pac-12 history to reach 2,000 points, doing it in her 88th career game. According to UW, she became the seventh player to score 2,000 points in 88 games or less since the NCAA began keeping statistics in the 1981-82 season.

Plum finished with 15 points in the first half as the Huskies carried a 38-34 lead at halftime.
