UW Football: Nate Dogg’s son sent packing from UW

The Chris Petersen regime does not excuse anyone regardless productivity or fame. Sophomore cornerback Naijiel Hale, son of deceased rapper Nate Dogg, was sent home for disciplinary reasons.

“Unfortunately, that always happens. Naijiel’s been dismissed from our program,” Petersen said. “We need to move forward. Wish Naijiel the best.”

Hale signed with the Huskies in February 2014 as part of Petersen’s first recruiting class at UW. Hale had originally made a verbal commitment to play for Arizona before changing his mind. As a true Frosh, Hale got to see plenty of time on the field and was expected to fight for a starting role.
