Visiting Utah put pressure on Washington from the very start and the result was the Utes claiming a 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-20 victory Sunday in Pac-12 volleyball action.
It was the first Pac-12 defeat of the year for the Huskies (11-3, 3-1) and the first conference victory for Utah (9-6, 1-3).
“It was a high level of serving from Utah,” said UW coach Keegan Cook. “They caught us in the first set, and they just kept that pressure the entire time. I thought we made some adjustments in the third and fourth to figure some things out, but they kept the service pressure on us and they didn’t make a lot of errors either.
